The Jr. Brahmas are excited to announce the hire of James Vandespyker as the new goalie coach! Vandespyker brings plenty of experience both as a player and coach with him to the NYTEX Sports Centre.
During his days as a goalie, Vandespyker earned a D1 scholarship to the University of Findlay (Ohio) where he earned the team's Rookie of the Year honor in 1999 and team MVP in back-to-back seasons from 2001-02.
After college, Vandespyker played four seasons in the Central Hockey League with the Amarillo Gorillas and the Wichita Thunder.
Vandespyker joins the Jr. Brahmas with over ten years of coaching experience. Most recently, Vandespyker was with a familiar foe in the NAHL as the Amarillo Bulls goalie coach in 2012.
