BIO: COACH VOGEL

Coach Vogel is committed to developing our Junior Brahmas goaltenders.  His years of experience in playing and teaching the position have proven to be a great asset to the Junior Brahmas organization.  

In his first season as a coach of the CHL Brahmas he helped lead the Brahmas to the franchise's first CHL Championship. In his three seasons behind the bench for the Brahmas, Vogel has been a part of three postseason appearances in the CHL Playoffs. Prior to coaching he played eight seasons of professional hockey split between the CHL, ECHL, UHL, Europe and the IHL.  He played with Corpus Christi in one season (39 games) in the CHL recording a 2.56 GA and .919 save percentage and his CHL record was 22-12-4.  He also attended the Detroit Red Wings (NHL) training camp as a rookie.  He played his first three seasons as a professional in the ECHL, two with the New Orleans Brass and one with the Pee Dee Pride.  He led all goaltenders his first season with a .933 save percentage.  He spent 2003-04 and 2005-06 seasons in Rockford in the UHL and played one year in England for the Basingstoke Bison in the Elite League.  He started the 2007-08 season with Port Huron in the IHL and finished the year in Kalamazoo. Prior to going pro he spent three seasons playing Juniors in Canada in the OHL and one season with the Texas Tornado of the NAHL.
