Coach Hall has been involved with the game of hockey for nearly 40 years. A life long participant and student of the game, he began his coaching career in California with the Pasadena Maple Leaf organization in the late 80’s. He led his 1993 Bantam team to the state finals in California and two years later his Midget “A” team enjoyed an undefeated season and captured the Great Western Showcase Invitational Championship (Utah).

Since moving to Texas in 1995, he has been actively involved in coaching and in 2000, he joined the coaching staff of the original Midget Major AAA (Tier I) program (now sponsored by the Dallas Stars). Coach Hall spent eight seasons with the Stars and served as both a bench coach and Director of Hockey Operations. The Stars Midget Major AAA team became the first Texas team to ever qualify for the USA Hockey National Championship Tournament and made four trips to Nationals winning a Bronze Medal in 2003.

In two seasons with the Texas Jr Brahmas (07/08 – 08/09), his Midget Minor teams posted an NTXHL record of 42-7-3 capturing back-to-back regular season championships and the playoff championship in 07/08. His 08/09 team also became the first Brahmas club to qualify for the Texas State Championship tournament.

While with Alliance last season his U16 AA team won the Stars Labor Day Tournament and made it to the finals of the MYHOCKEYRANKINGS.com tournament in Chicago losing in Double OT to South Florida who went on to finish second at the USA Hockey National tournament. Coach Hall was also on the bench for the Alliance U16 AA 94 team that found success as Champions in the Stars Fall Round-Up and as Finalists in the NTXHL.

This Spring Coach Hall was chosen by TAHA to select and coach the Texas entry in the USA Hockey sponsored America’s High School Showcase in Pittsburgh.

Coach Hall has attained the highest level of coaching certification (Masters) offered by USA Hockey and wrote his thesis on the unique challenges faced by travel coaches in non-traditional hockey locations.
